[April 2026] I adopted Penny Lane 11 years ago, and from that moment on, she was my everything… my best friend, my wing woman, my “dogter”, my heart. She had this magical way about her. Everyone who met her fell instantly in love. You just couldn’t help it.

Penny was full of spunk and a little bit of mischief, always ready to jump into whatever was happening. She never wanted to miss a moment. She just wanted to be part of the party, part of the love, part of life.

She was always up for an adventure whether it was trips to Atlanta, Paso Robles (oh how she loved wine country) Joshua Tree, Big Bear, Vegas, Solvang or ANY road trip. Wherever we went, she was right there with me, making every place feel more special. She loved sitting at the top of the stairs guarding the house and making sure she knew where everybody was at all times.

She lovingly tolerated all the costumes I put her in and the endless photos I took… always such a good sport, always so patient, always so sweet.

Even when life got harder, Penny never lost that joy. When she was diagnosed with congestive heart failure, she powered through and kept going, defying the odds with that same unstoppable energy. And when her legs started to give her trouble, we found a new way, her stroller! There she was, chugging along as usual, still part of every outing, still right by my side.

We were so fortunate to celebrate her bark mitzvah at 13… yes, complete with lifting her up in a chair and dancing the hora around her. She loved every second of being the center of the Simcha.

So many of you loved her, and she loved you right back. I know you felt it. Thank you for being part of her life.

It’s been less than 48 hours and Jeremy and I feel her absence immensely. The house feels impossibly quiet without her, but our hearts are so full of the joy she brought into our world. We will miss her every single day.

Run free (or bunny hop) my sweet girl. 💔🐾

I love you more than I ever thought possible. ❤️
